Electrosonic has appointed Lori Cross as Non-Executive Chair of the group tasked with fast-tracking its transformation and expansion strategy. Cross has been a Board Member for more than 10 years and has knowledge of the company, its business and its talent.
“I am excited to become Chair for the Electrosonic Group as new opportunities are emerging in all the places we work, live and play,” Cross said. “The company has a proud history, amazing people and a passion for pushing the boundaries of engineering to deliver innovative solutions for our clients and partners.”
Cross will play a vital role in the continuation of Electrosonic’s transformation journey. As an independent board advisor and consultant, she has more than 35 years of experience of driving long-term growth in technology-led businesses. She has previously worked with VIASYS Healthcare, GE Healthcare, Instrumentarium/Datex-Ohmeda, Ahlstrom and Fastems.
In addition to her advisory roles, Cross serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Wisconsin, where she teaches strategy and leadership courses. She is also President of Mind Span Consulting, specializing in developing leaders in disruptive, technology-based businesses.
With this appointment, Cross becomes one of the first women to chair a company in the audiovisual industry. As Cross takes over her new role, Electrosonic thanks Steve Leyland for his contributions as Chairman of the Board.
