Dan Ferrisi, Editor of Sound & Communications, chats with L-Acoustics’ Genio Kronauer and d&b audiotechnik’s Henning Kaltheuner, both leading members of the Avnu Alliance, to learn about the newly announced Milan Associate Membership Level. The Milan ecosystem is a product of the efforts of the Avnu Alliance consortium, which is composed of leading commercial AV industry members. Kronauer and Kaltheuner talk about the Milan Module Certification Mechanism, while also addressing how many end devices have already been Milan certified and alluding to the certification pipeline that currently exists. They also distinguish the Associate membership level from higher tiers of membership, explaining the differing privileges and benefits companies can enjoy. Finally, they reference that, in the near future, the industry can expect a host of new Avnu participants on this new, entry-level membership tier.
