The first edition of Chengdu InfoComm China, which was themed “Gear Up for Growth in Western China,” attracted 8,201 visitors during its three-day run from September 5 to 7.
Richard Tan, Executive Director of event organizer InfoComm Asia, said, “These visitor numbers are beyond our expectations, and we are heartened by the turnout. The response has shown that we have underestimated the need for a platform like Chengdu InfoComm China 2018, which brings the best of pro-AV and integrated experience solutions from all over the world under one roof to satiate the large demand for such cutting-edge technologies in the emerging Western China region.”
Among the over 150 exhibitors were companies like Intel, Epson, Yamaha, Harman, Bose and AOTO. Orders and transactions were penned at the show for some exhibitors, with many reiterating their commitment to the Western China market with booth spaces booked for the next run in 2019.
A number of technologies showcased at InfoComm China, including command and control systems for traffic management; security surveillance, defense and healthcare services; digital signage for advertising, retail and information communications; 3D projections for education, entertainment, museums and exhibitions; collaborative communications technology; conference systems for corporate and hospitality; and theater systems for smart homes.
At the show, several products which were new to Western China were launched. Over three days, there were 5,332 attendees in the 40+ sessions, where experts shared emerging trends and in-depth market insights. Wide-ranging and pertinent issues explored included artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, digital signage, visual technology, smart hotels, smart cities and transportation.
Chengdu InfoComm China 2019 will return next year, from September 4 to 6, at the Century City New International Convention & Exhibition Service Center.
