Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW) presents the MKD1200 Series, the newest addition to its MKD series, includes the MKD1294 (90×45) and MKD1264 (60×45). These three-way full-range installation loudspeakers leverage two 12” LF transducers with 3” voice-coils arranged as a dipole around a large format rotatable horn. Mid and high frequencies are reproduced using a coaxial 4” voice-coil and 2.5” voice-coil compression driver. This arrangement utilizes similar technology as EAW’s QX500 series to control coverage down to 200Hz and keep the crossover frequency clear of the sensitive vocal range. The overall operating range is 47Hz to 20kHz with a max SPL of 145dB (MKD1294) and 147dB (MKD1264). The MKD1200 series is housed in a compact (32” H x 22.7” W x 20.6” D) Baltic birch enclosure available standard in black or white or special order in custom colors and in fiber glass-encased weather-protected options. This addition complements EAW’s existing MKD800 and MKD1000 loudspeakers.
