After the launch of their IP extenders, G&D have recently provided them with a major switching expansion and presented their new matrix for KVM-over-IP™. The matrix switch ControlCenter-IP enables distributed switching of computer signals via standard IP-based networks on layer 3. This way, even the largest IT installations of broadcast applications such as TV studios, post productions or OB vans can be implemented via IP access. Transmission takes place with CAT cabling via standard IP-based networks on layer 3 and via a Gigabit Ethernet. By having the broadest KVM offering in the industry this now provides even more versatility to the portfolio, so any given project needs can be accommodated in a cost-effective way. The new IP series can offer further flexibility as it can share network structures and breaks the boundaries of dedicated cabling. The new ControlCenter-IP will include all the great matrix features known from G&D’s classical ControlCenter series.
